With over 35 years of live performance experience, Gary Vann has become a familiar name across Brisbane and the Gold Coast music scene. For the past 35 years, Gary has also been a dedicated music teacher, guiding learners of all ages. Whether you’re a complete beginner playing for fun or preparing for competitions and live performances, Gary offers patient, personalised instruction.
Gary’s career includes notable achievements such as winning two Australian National Bluegrass Banjo Championships and performing at Suncorp Stadium for the 2006 Rugby season kickoff in front of 35,000 people. Gary provides lessons across a wide range of styles, including Bluegrass, Celtic, Country, Australiana, Top 40, and Blues—ensuring students can learn the genre they’re passionate about or explore something new.
